Learning through Lessons
Inspiring Through My Story
The most important lessons I’ve learned didn’t come from a classroom—they came when the pressure was real.
At one point in my career, my job depended on passing my APICS certification exams. I had seen what happened to others who didn’t pass in time—even years of experience didn’t guarantee a second chance.
I knew I couldn’t fail.
So, I didn’t.
I put in hundreds of hours, studied harder than I ever had before, and pushed myself in ways I hadn’t in years. When I passed both exams, something shifted. It wasn’t just relief—it was confidence.
For the first time in a long time, I realized I was more capable than I had been giving myself credit for. That experience is what pushed me to go back to college and finish what I started. Not because I had to—but because I finally knew I could.
The lesson wasn’t just about passing a test.
It was about proving to myself that I don’t quit when it matters.
